Velvet rugs

I have all of these leftover scraps of the crushed panne velvet. Lots of black, and some other colors. Purple, royal, red, pink, and a few others. I decided I should try to make a rug out of this fabric because it is super soft. I just started a dark purple one. I wasn't sure really how much fabric it would take, but I should have enough for a good sized one. I have been only using the beige warp, but I have figured out that I can tuck the fringe under and sew it down. That way it is not noticeable. It really is quite a lovely rug and will be really nice to walk on.
